Emmerdale’s Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) has a very interesting relationship with the truth; she rarely tells it unless it’ll benefit her in some way and isn’t above completely ignoring it to achieve a goal.
Landing back in the Dales via helicopter she almost immediately drove a stake into Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) heart, claiming that she’d been in a relationship with Jimmy King (Nick Miles) for three years.
The thing is, though, that both Nicola and Emmerdale fans are finding hard to believe that our poor, deceased Jimmy would betray his beloved Nico in such a way, especially with a prize cow like Sadie, a woman who cheated on him with his own brother and manipulated and schemed against his entire family.
The comeback queen is sticking firmly to her guns, however, not once wavering from her story that she and Jimmy had reunited some three years ago and had been living as a happy couple.
While the village at large initially balked at her story, a few eventually conceded that there was a possibility she was telling the truth.
The audience, though? Nah…not buying it!
Karinand Litia took to Metro Soaps Facebook page to say: ‘They didn’t have an affair. He may of been helping her…but I can’t see that. Jimmy was struggling…failing business’. Cathy Bell agreed: ‘Think he was trying to help her with money, but don’t believe the rest of it!’
A lot of viewers believed Sadie had employed the use of AI.
Joanna Symonds agreed: ‘The photo is AI, he did have a call with her but it don’t mean there’s an affair’, while Lara Spencer mused: ‘I don’t think is true tbh, think he was helping her out with the five grand’.
Chris Tyler had a lot of thoughts on the twist: ‘Definitely AI, and Jimmy being Jimmy was probably helping her out in someway because that was how he was. So she could have still had all that knowledge from talking to him.’
Karen Curtis said: ‘Well that first photo of Jimmy was from a long time ago. His hair was dark and he looked like he had been airbrushed. Certainly none of those photos were proof of an affair’, to which Elayne Thomson agreed: ‘The things she said to Nicola were common knowledge so she could have picked them up easy. I’m sorry but I’m not buying it, I still don’t think he cheated’

The theme of money continued to crop up, with Sadie’s lust for cash and power apparently still being as strong as it was since her first stint, though viewers were torn: if Sadie was truly skint, how would she stump up the cash for that dramatic helicopter entrance?
‘I thought it’s money driven but if she was skint I don’t see her landing in an helicopter, she’s always been greedy so probably after the business she doesn’t know he sold insurance and share of the house’ said Saz Stor, Lesley Byrne added; ‘Sadie needed the cash and used Jimmy’, while Ann Bell offered: ‘I think she asked Jimmy for a loan or maybe he borrowed money from her then asked for it back’
Veronica Boundford simply wasn’t having it: ‘No way would Jimmy get back with Sadie, especially after the way she played and treated him when they were married, she was only in it for the money then, I don’t think she knows he’s sold the haulage and she wants her hands on it and she will do it any way she can’
Patricia Watson called on Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) to help Nicola take on Sadie: ‘Hope Kev does help Nicola take her down. Nicola [and] Jimmy loved each other, [Sadie’s] a money grabbing cow!’
The audience have spoken: they think Sadie’s lying. But is she?
