TG4 will once again return to the Kingdom this September for six days of live coverage from the famous Listowel Harvest Festival, with Rásaí Beo bringing all the action to viewers from Monday, 21 September, through to Saturday, 26 September.
This year marks 22 years since TG4 first broadcast live from the Harvest Festival in 2004, with Rásaí Lios Tuathail now firmly established as a regular fixture in the channel’s racing schedule. The 2026 meeting will be the 168th staging of the Listowel Harvest Festival, one of Ireland’s longest-running and most celebrated racing festivals.
The feature race at last year’s meeting, the Guinness Kerry National, delivered a memorable victory for Spanish Harlem, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Danny Mullins. It was the jockey’s second victory in the prestigious Listowel race, coming 13 years after he partnered Eric McNamara’s Faltering Fullback to victory in 2012.
This year’s TG4 coverage will get underway with two days of Flat racing on Monday and Tuesday, before National Hunt racing takes centre stage from Wednesday onwards. Wednesday will feature one of the highlights of the festival, the latest running of the Guinness Kerry National, the showcase race of the Harvest Festival.
Racing and fashion will combine on Friday, 25 September, for the much-anticipated Listowel Ladies Day. Raceday TV presenter and content creator Frankie Foster and leading image consultant Aoife Dunican will be on hand to judge the McElligotts Kia Best Dressed Lady competition, as racegoers once again bring plenty of colour and style to the Listowel enclosures.
The festival will conclude on Saturday, 26 September, with Rásaí Beo also bringing viewers live coverage of the prestigious Goffs Million from The Curragh in Co. Kildare as part of the programme.
It has already been a busy year for Rásaí Beo, which continues to build its presence across the Irish racing calendar. The summer began with two days of coverage from Ballybrit during the Galway Races, followed by the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes from The Curragh, two days at Killarney’s August Festival and the programme’s first-ever visit to Downpatrick, Ireland’s oldest racecourse.
Rásaí Beo has now broadcast live racing from 24 of the 26 racecourses on the island of Ireland, highlighting TG4’s continued commitment to bringing Irish racing to audiences free-to-air. During its week in Listowel, the programme will also announce details of additional live racing dates for November.
Coverage from Listowel will once again be presented by the unmistakable Seán Bán Breathnach, alongside Mánus Ó Conghaile, Sarah Lynam, Evelyn Ní Ghriallais and Tomás Báicéir.
Mícheál Ó Sé will provide commentary throughout the week, while Daragh Ó Conchúir and Meghann Scully will be on the ground around the parade ring, speaking with owners, trainers, jockeys and punters and capturing the colour and atmosphere that make the Listowel Harvest Festival such a distinctive occasion.
With six days of live racing, the Guinness Kerry National, Ladies Day, the Goffs Million and all the excitement and atmosphere of one of Ireland’s great racing festivals, Rásaí Lios Tuathail promises another memorable week of action live on TG4.
