A little kitten may have taken an unexpected road trip from Drogheda to Mullingar after apparently sneaking into the back of a delivery van.
An appeal has been issued to find the owner of the adventurous feline after a delivery driver made the surprise discovery when he returned home to Mullingar.
The driver’s last delivery had been in Drogheda and it is believed the kitten may have jumped into the back of the van unnoticed before travelling all the way to Co Westmeath.
“Delivery driver found this kitty in the back of the van in Mullingar,” an appeal shared on social media said.
“His last delivery was in Drogheda. Once he got back home he found this little one in the back. Must have jumped in somehow.
“Anyone missing a kitten?”
It is not yet known exactly where the kitten climbed aboard, but given that the driver’s last stop was in Drogheda, the appeal is being shared in the hope that someone in the area will recognise the unexpected passenger.
Anyone who believes the kitten may be theirs is being encouraged to get in touch with the person who posted the appeal.
