A man has died three weeks after a three-vehicle crash in Co Meath as gardaí renew their appeal for information.

The incident took place on Saturday, August 15, at around 2am.

The man, aged in his 50s, was treated for serious injuries at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

However, he subsequently died on Friday, September 4.

A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to support his family.

Garda forensic collision investigators have examined the scene and a senior officer is leading the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Gardaí are calling on people who may have witnessed the crash to come forward, particularly users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R132 near Smithstown, Julianstown, Co. Meath between 1:30am and 2:30am on Saturday, August 15 2026.
