A number of Leitrim cyclists are taking part in a 640km cycle from Malin to Mizen in aid of Cystic fFbrosis charity.
Members of Leitrim Cycle Club are taking part in the four day Malin2Mizen Cycle4CF challenge starting on Thursday, September 10.
The four cyclists; Ciaran Harmon from Cortober, Caroline Murphy from Carrick, Ken Doonan from Carrigallen and John Walshe from Elphin will set off on the 640km trek on Thursday morning.
The annual cycle aims to raise funds and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
Cystic fibrosis is a multi-organ disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system.
Ireland has the highest rate of CF per capita in the world, with approximately 1,400 children and adults in Ireland living with the condition.
The Malin2Mizen Cycle4CF, has raised over €916,000 since it began in 2016, helping the charity fund services and supports for people with CF across Ireland.
The Leitrim cyclists will follow the route of Malin Head to Bundoran on Thursday, Bundoran to Oranmore on Friday, Oranmore to Mallow on Saturday, before arriving at Mizen Head on Sunday.
