A Kerry Lotto player is €38,196 better off this week after they finally collected their winnings for matching five numbers and the bonus in the Lotto draw on Wednesday, August 19.
The Kerry player purchased their ticket on the day of the draw at Hannah Mary’s Country Store XL, Tullig Lower in Killorglin.
The winner shared the good news with family members, who were delighted with the surprise win. With the prize now officially claimed, the Kerry player is looking forward to planning a family holiday.
“That’s the exciting part now,” they said. “We haven’t decided where we’ll go yet, so it’s a blank canvas. We can sit down together and choose somewhere special.”
It follows a lucky summer for Kerry with a Lotto player in the Kingdom becoming a Lotto millionaire after winning the Lotto Plus 1 top prize of €1 million on July 18 with a Quick Pick ticket.
The win went unnoticed for several days until the player heard a radio report about an unclaimed €1 million prize sold in Portmagee.
