The next few days will bring “changeable” weather according to Met Éireann, with some dry spells expected along with wetter, breezier conditions.
“The mixed weather is set to continue, with dry and bright days followed in turn by wet or showery ones,” meteorologist Deirdre Lowe said on Met Éireann’s morning forecast.
There will be just a few showers on Wednesday and it will be “largely dry”, with the east expected to enjoy the best of the sunshine at first, before cloud spreads from the west. Highest temperatures today will range from 14 to 18C.
Conditions will turn more unsettled tonight as wet, breezy weather arrives on the west coast before spreading to other areas. Lowest temperatures will be between 9 and 13C.
After a cloudy start tomorrow morning, rain will clear during the morning and early afternoon to leave a mix of sunshine and showers, with highest temperatures of 15 to 18C.
Friday is expected to be “generally dry and bright” with just a few showers, highs again ranging from 15 to 18C. Heading into Friday evening, cloud will build up, bringing outbreaks of rain along the west coast.
“Wet, blustery conditions” will then spread on Friday night and rain will turn heavy in some areas. It will be a mild night with lows of 13 to 15C.
Winds will gradually ease on Saturday and rain will clear up to bring a day of sunny spells and showers. It will be a slightly warmer day with temperatures rising to highs of 17 to 21C.
Current indications show Sunday will be mostly dry with some spells of sunshine, with mist and fog that built up overnight expected to clear. Highest temperatures will be between 15 and 19C.
Looking ahead to next week, Met Éireann’s outlook shows changeable conditions are likely to continue.
