A Wexford school is beaming with pride after a group of students achieved great results in their Leaving Cert exams.
Six students from the FCJ Secondary School in Bunclody received five of more H1s in their results. Students included Izabella Swiatek, Liam Cooney, John Murphy, Evan Sweeney, Jamie Cuniffe and Aaron Cuniffe, who are twins.
Izabella has been accepted into Radiography in UCD, Jamie will be studying Primary School Teaching in DCU, while Liam, John and Aaron will have each other for company as they study Engineering in UCD.
They added that over 25 pc of the students received more than 500 points.
However, the school also stressed that a student’s worth is more than the results of one set of exams.
“As we always say here in FCJ, at the end of the day, you won’t be remembered for the score on a piece of paper, it’s the type of person that you are that counts. Everybody has a different goal, no matter what it is, the important thing is that you set that target and then give it your all to get there,” they said.
