Renowned Irish band The Coronas and trad supergroup BIIRD will perform at King John’s Castle later this year as part of the Ryder Cup ‘Year to Go’ celebrations.

Ryder Cup captains Luke Donald and Jim Furyk are also set to appear at the concert on October 4, as the countdown to the 2027 tournament continues.

Hosted by Limerick woman Louise Cantillon, the European and US captains will also take part in a live Q&A during the evening.

Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer with European Tour Group, said: “The Year to Go celebration is always a key milestone in the Ryder Cup journey, and we have several things planned which will showcase Adare Manor, Limerick and Ireland to our global audience.

“Local community is such a big part of life in Ireland, and we wanted to have an event as part of the celebrations that residents in Limerick can enjoy and help welcome the two captains to their city for what will be Luke and Jim’s first joint appearance since their respective appointments earlier this year.”

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, September 4.
