The woman, aged in her 20s, was attacked and robbed as she made her way to Clontarf.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted and robbed in the early hours of yesterday morning in Dublin 3.

The incident occurred on the Alfie Byrne Road at approximately 5.10am on Tuesday.

The female suspect was described as wearing a red puffer jacket and assaulted a woman as she walked towards Clontarf.

A number of items were taken from the woman, who is aged in her 20s.

A Garda spokesperson added: “Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 05.00am and 05.20am, particularly motorists who may have dashcam footage, to contact them.

“Anyone with information can contact Clontarf Garda Station on 01 666 4800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
