Ndiaye to Man City confirmed
Manchester City have completed the £65mi signing of Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, having agreed to buy Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea for a joint British record fee of £125m.
Enzo Maresca’s side have splashed the cash on deadline day, with Senegal international Ndiaye joining on a contract until 2031 after a deal was struck with the Toffees on Monday.

Grealish seals Toffees return
Everton have agreed a deal to take Jack Grealish on another season-long loan from Manchester City, having impressed there last term before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January.
The deal for Grealish to return to Everton comes at the same time as City have agreed a fee worth up to £65m for Toffees winger Iliman Ndiaye. Everton have sold striker Beto to Serie A side Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott joins Valencia on season-long loan deal
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has joined Spanish side Valencia on a season-long loan deal.
It will be the second successive campaign the 23-year-old has spent away from Anfield following an unsuccessful spell at Aston Villa last term.
The former Fulham academy player had joined Villa in search of more opportunities after making only two league starts in Liverpool’s 2024-25 title-winning campaign.
However, he was limited to just nine appearances for Unai Emery’s side after they opted against triggering a clause that would have obliged them to sign him for £35million after 10 games.
He returned to Liverpool this summer and was given run-outs by new manager Andoni Iraola in pre-season but was since left out of their draws with Newcastle and Nottingham Forest to start the Reds’ season.
Elliott becomes the second English player to leave the club to join a new venture abroad after Curtis Jones left on a permanent transfer to Inter Milan last month.
There has been some outgoing business this week with Spanish midfielder Stefan Bajcetic rejoining boyhood club Celta Vigo on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old, who spent four years on the books at Anfield, made 22 first-team appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal. He had also spent time on loan at RB Salzburg and Las Palmas.

Chelsea sign Honest Ahanor with Atalanta defender joining Crystal Palace on loan
Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Atalanta defender Honest Ahanor, with the player set to move to Stamford Bridge in 2027.
The 18-year-old will spend this season on loan at Crystal Palace from the Serie A side before joining Chelsea officially next year.
He made 22 league appearances last season having moved from Genoa a year ago, making his debut for Italy in a friendly against Luxembourg in June.
The move to Selhurst Park will mean the teenager gets Premier League experience while providing cover in defence for Chadi Riad, who ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in the opening-day defeat to Everton and is set to miss most of the season.
Ahanor told Palace’s website: “I’m very happy to be here and to be a part of this great family.
“To be at one of the best clubs for young players in the Premier League is something which makes me grateful and excited.”
Outcast Chelsea striker Marc Guiu has joined RB Leipzig on a five-year deal for £14.5million, bringing to an end a two-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 20-year-old joined from Barcelona in 2024 for £5m but struggled to make an impact, making only 11 Premier League appearances and failing to score.
He was loaned to Sunderland at the beginning of last season but was recalled after three appearances to cover injuries in attack, though his game time remained limited in west London.
He joins strikers David Datro Fofana, Nicolas Jackson and Liam Delap in having departed Chelsea during the transfer window.
The club have agreed to sell Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City for a joint-British record fee £125million, the Press Association understands.
It comes more than three months after the Argentina international first told Chelsea he wanted to leave and more than two weeks after the expiry of a deadline imposed by the club for bids.
The Blues have also agreed deals for Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo to join Tottenham, PA understands.
Mudryk, who recently returned from a doping ban and has not played competitively for almost two years, will move on loan while Tosin, who has fallen down the defensive pecking order, will move permanently for £7m.

Manchester United close in on Leicester wunderkind in deadline day deal
Manchester United have made swift progress over a possible deadline day deal for Leicester City youngster Louis Page, says Miguel Delaney.
The highly-rated 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign even as the former Premier League winners were relegated from the Championship last season.
The teenage midfielder could now move to Old Trafford for a fee of more than £10m after talks between the two clubs advanced quickly ahead of the transfer window closing.
Page has been capped at U17, U18 and U20 level by England, and is the son of former professional footballer Don Page.
Manchester United have already strengthened significantly in midfield this summer, with Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos brought in to bolster the options available to Michael Carrick.

Celtic close in on three signings – with more in the works ahead of deadline
Celtic have three prospective signings in the building and could have more on their way.
Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, Parma midfielder Oliver Sorensen and 19-year-old PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joel van den Berg were all at Celtic’s Lennoxtown training ground on Tuesday.
Martin O’Neill’s side have also been linked with Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis and a loan move for 18-year-old Chelsea forward Shim Mheuka.
The Scottish champions are also prioritising a left-back with the injured Kieran Tierney currently being covered by central defender Liam Scales.
William Hill Premiership clubs have until Thursday at 5pm to complete signings but Celtic have targeted the Europa League deadline of 11pm on Wednesday to finalise their squad.
When asked about numbers, assistant manager Shaun Maloney said: “When you’re looking at the really key ones within the squad, you’re looking at three to four.
“But then there might be some others. The club might decide to do business for the future as well.”
Johnstone has played more than 350 league games with the likes of Aston Villa, West Brom and Crystal Palace and the 33-year-old is set to provide competition for Viljami Sinisalo.
Maloney said: “Vil’s been fantastic for us this season. Whichever goalkeeper comes in, you have to say, it’s up to you. You go and try and push for that position.
“And it’s the same for Vil. You have to keep performing at the levels you are to keep the shirt.”
Celtic will be without Tierney and Kasper Hogh for Wednesday’s visit of Aberdeen as they both nurse thigh injuries, while striker Callum Osmand is set to be missing until after the international break with an ankle injury.
Maloney said: “In terms of any signing in that striker area, that will either transpire in the next 24-48 hours or we’ll just go as we are.”
A new left-back is a must though after Celtic decided against re-signing loan player Marcelo Saracchi.
Maloney said: “That’s a position that we’ve really needed to fill. And with the right type. I think ‘Celo was that.
“Kieran started the season really well. But we need that back-up.”
Celtic are not looking for a central defender and there are no firm plans to sign a right-back despite Alistair Johnston being ruled out until October.
“It’s possible if the right profile comes, but we’ve got Colby (Donovan), we’ve got (Anthony) Ralston as well. We can definitely count on those two,” Maloney said.
“If Martin decides that’s the position he wants, then fine. But it’s not as urgent as the left-back position.”
Maloney talked about replacing the power and strength of Arne Engels in midfield following the Belgian’s move to West Ham, while Reo Hatate is likely to follow Paulo Bernardo out of Celtic Park.
Reinforcements in midfield could also ease the burden on Callum McGregor, who will return from illness to face Aberdeen.
“Alex (Oxlade-Chamberlain) has helped with that,” Maloney said. “After a lot of extra sessions, Alex was probably the best we’d seen him in the last game. So that definitely takes the burden off Callum.
“But Callum’s mentality is he wants to play every game. If we can get the squad right in the next few days, it might allow us at times to rest, not just Callum, but other players.”

Newcastle sign Matias Fernandez-Pardo on long-term deal
Matias Fernandez-Pardo has joined Newcastle on a long-term contract from Lille.
It is understood that the 21-year-old forward has arrived St James’ Park for a fee of £51million.
Fernandez-Pardo spent six years at Lille’s academy before joining the Gent youth set-up and made his first team debut for the Belgian side in 2023.
He returned to Lille in 2024, featuring in the Champions League and Europa League for the French side and helped them claim a third-placed finish in Ligue 1 last year.
On the international stage, Fernandez-Pardo represents Belgium and featured three times at this summer’s World Cup.
Speaking about his deal, Fernandez-Pardo said: “I’m really, really happy to be here and very proud to be at such a big club.
“I spoke to the head coach and he really showed how much he wanted me to be here. In terms of my own career progression, it made complete sense to come so I didn’t hesitate at all.
“I know the club, I know about the stadium, I know it’s a fantastic atmosphere. I’ve followed the team. What I’ve seen is a team that’s very ambitious, wants to attack, get forward, really chase teams and go after them, and that’s really something I want to take part in as well.
“I’m still young, I’m still hungry, and that’s why I’m here, and I want to make that progress with Newcastle. I can’t wait to start the wonderful adventure here.”
Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle added: “I am very happy to welcome Matias to our club. We were all delighted when we knew we could complete this deal.
“Matias is a highly technical player with explosiveness in his game. He can score and assist, he has courage, and he has the ability to take players on. We’re sure our supporters will enjoy watching him play.
“He has already shown in Lille that he can perform on the big stage, and we will work closely with him to keep developing his game further. We are excited to see him in a Newcastle shirt.”
Fernandez-Pardo is Newcastle’s eighth signing of the transfer window with Nico Gonzalez, Sean Steur and Amar Dedic among those who have arrived on Tyneside this summer.

Enzo Fernandez deal agreed in principle
We’re still eagerly awaiting confirmation of the move but Enzo Fernandez appears to be edging closer towards a blockbuster transfer from Chelsea to Man City.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sports, a deal in principle has been agreed between the two clubs and he adds that Fernandez is travelling to Manchester this afternoon to complete the formalities for the move.
It looks like City are spending big on deadline day if the rumours over a high fee are to be believed.

Chelsea close on Camara deal with domino effect for Fernandez to Man City
Miguel Delaney is reporting that Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Lamine Camara from Monaco.
The French club are holding out for a price of £60m but their is consideration that a fee of £50m plus add ons might be enough to get the deal done.
Should Camara’s purchase be guaranteed for the Blues, Enzo Fernandez’s switch to Manchester City would then be sanctioned.
