The Government jet carrying Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch’s son Jason has landed in Ireland following his extradition from Spain.
Jason Hutch, 37, was transported from Arrecife Airport in Lanzarote on board the Government’s Dassault Falcon 6X aircraft this afternoon.
The aircraft has now landed at Baldonnel, where Mr Hutch is expected to be handed over to An Garda Síochána.
He is expected to be formally arrested before being brought before Dublin District Court.
According to reports, a security operation is under way to facilitate his return and transfer into garda custody.
Mr Hutch has been held in custody in Spain since April last year after being detained on foot of a European arrest warrant.
The operation to return him to Ireland follows his detention in Lanzarote and subsequent extradition proceedings.
Further details of the charges he is expected to face have not been confirmed.
