Lisa Raitt, a member of Canada’s Advisory Committee on Canada-U.S. Economic Relations, talks with Financial Post’s Larysa Harapyn about the uncertainty businesses face — especially small and medium-sized operations — of not knowing when Canada and the United States will restart trade talks, that any deal struck must still allow sectors of the economy to continue to grow and that tariffs are a given once a deal is reached.
