A 14-year-old boy has been charged after stabbings in Bromley that left four people in hospital.
As part of the ongoing investigation into an “altercation” at a KFC in Bromley High Street, the Metropolitan Police said the boy had been charged with affray and making threats with an article, blade or offensive weapon in a public place.
Another six people arrested in the aftermath of the stabbings have been released on bail.
Police were called to Bromley High Street at around 2.15pm on Thursday.
Three boys, aged between 14 and 17 and a 21-year-old man were found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital.
The three boys have have since been discharged after receiving treatment, while the 21-year-old, initially thought to be in a critical condition, remains in hospital and his condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening.
All four of those injured, along with four other boys aged between 14 and 17 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
In an update on Monday, the Met confirmed six of them had been bailed and the 14-year-old charged with one count of affray and two counts of threatening with an article, blade or offensive weapon in a public place.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and will next appear in court on Wednesday.
Police continue to investigate the stabbings and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
