Two Metropolitan Police officers have been arrested over assault allegations following a reported “orgy” during a holiday in Hungary.
The arrests came after a group of 15 officers, from the same Met Police station, were involved in a “sex party” in Budapest, according to The Sun.
Following an alleged alcohol-fuelled evening at their large rented house, a female officer made an official complaint about the conduct of at least two male officers, leading to the arrest of two constables last week for sexual assault and assault.
One of the male officers was arrested on Monday, with the other detained on Thursday.
Furious top brass have reportedly launched a strategic forum to investigate exactly what happened, with more uniformed officers set to be quizzed in relation to the probe.
A source told the Sun: “It shows just how deeply embarrassed the Met are by this. It beggars belief that this could happen.

“An official internal probe is trying to establish exactly what happened on this trip.”
Sources told the newspaper that some of the group of officers, including constables and sergeants, were already sexually involved with each other prior to the getaway earlier this year.
However, during one evening of the holiday, it was reported that a number of the officers began having sex, and the complainant female officer was allegedly forcefully removed from a room by her arm by a male officer, who took her to his room.
The woman alleges she was assaulted as he grabbed her by the arm, and has also made allegations that she was then sexually assaulted later by another male officer.
An investigation being carried out by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is also focusing on the apparent lack of supervision.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Two serving officers have been arrested following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
“One officer, attached to Central North Command, was arrested on Monday, 31 August on suspicion of assault.
“A second officer, attached to the same command, was arrested on Thursday, 3 September on suspicion of sexual assault.
“The incidents are reported to have taken place in Budapest.
“Both officers were bailed and have been suspended from duty, and enquiries continue into what is a complex investigation.
“All allegations of criminality or misconduct by officers are treated with the utmost seriousness.”
