Families in Kathmandu post photos of missing relatives after Nepal floods kill more than 1,000 people, with thousands still unaccounted for.
In Nepal’s capital, families searching for relatives missing after last week’s devastating floods are posting photographs on a wall outside Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

The 25-metre wall is covered with images of Nepalis and foreigners, as relatives cling to the hope of finding loved ones alive.
The floods followed the collapse of a Himalayan glacier on the Nepal-China border on August 26, sending water and debris through communities
Nepal’s death toll has now passed 1,000, while about 4,000 other people remain missing. Rescue teams are still reaching remote areas, but damaged roads and infrastructure are hampering their efforts.
