NRL Score Centre Darius Boyd named Queensland’s new State of Origin coach on two-year deal

Queensland great Darius Boyd has been unveiled as the next Maroons coach after Billy Slater’s exit.

Boyd, who represented the Maroons 28 times in the State of Origin arena as a player, has signed a two-year deal.

Since his retirement as a player at the end of 2020, Boyd has coached Queensland’s under-19 team to consecutive series wins over NSW.
