A MAJOR music star from the 90s has suffered a medical emergency, forcing her band to have to make a change to upcoming gigs.
The pop group were supposed to be performing with En Vogue and Salt-N-Pepa on the It’s Iconic tour, but going forward they’ll have to take to the stage without the star.

Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins from TLC was notably absent from a concert on 28 August, which prompted fellow TLC bandmate Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas to share a statement on social media.
Rozanda vaguely said on TikTok that Tionne was recovering after having an ‘episode’ linked to sickle cell disease.
She also encouraged fans to support Tionne, adding: “I’m going to ask each and every one of you to help me hold her down tonight.”
In an extended statement shared yesterday, TLC’s representative Christal Jordan revealed more information related to Tionne’s absence, noting that Tionne was “currently recovering and regaining her strength” after she “recently experienced a sickle cell crisis that required hospitalisation.”

She further added: “Sickle cell is a serious illness, so we ask everyone to please keep the prayers coming as Tionne continues to recover.”
Christal also shared that TLC will continue to perform without Tionne while she gets better.
She said: “Because the It’s Iconic Tour is such an interactive show, we made the decision to continue, with Chilli performing and receiving incredible support from Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue, and most importantly, the fans.
“Hearing audiences sing [Tionne’s] parts, lift her up in prayer, and surround TLC with so much love has meant more than we can express.

TLC first formed back in 1990 as an R&B trio under the name of 2nd Nature.
They released their debut album in 1992 with Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg as the lead single.
The album reached the top three on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as well as number 14 on the US Billboard 2000.
It also became certified quadruple platinum in 1996 by the Recording Industry Association of America.
