TICKET prices for the next Ashes series have been slammed by cricket fans.
The prices for the Ashes in 2027 including the third Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham have been released.

There has been a sharp rise in prices including a huge increase of 43 PER CENT in some areas of the ground.
The famous Hollies Stand is one area to see ticket prices massively increase to £165 for a day.
The ticket ballot was opened for the Ashes series on Wednesday and the prices for all five venues have since been revealed.
The schedule was already under fire from fans due to the lack of a Test match north of Nottingham.

Headingley in Leeds and Old Trafford in Manchester were snubbed while a first-ever pick for the Utilita Bowl in Southampton was made.
But the prices have further angered fans, who have vented their frustration on social media.
One posted: “Ooof those prices are a disgrace.”
A second wrote: “Ticket prices are an absolute disgrace.

“Day at a test match was always an annual tradition but for the four of us it will now cost the best part of a grand for a day out!
“This sport will die because of short-term greed.”
A third commented: “This is really poor form.”
A fourth said: “Prices for next year’s Ashes are an absolute disgrace. Another shambles delivered by the ECB.”
Another added: “These Ashes ticket prices are mental?!”
Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan also slammed the pricing as “really poor”.
A ticket in the Hollies cost £115 during the corresponding fixture four years ago.
Tickets also have a further £2.50 booking fee added on top.

Prices to watch the Ashes in London are even more expensive with tickets costing £190 and £185 at Lord’s and the Oval.
The cheapest tickets at Edgbaston are still £115 while the Test match at Trent Bridge seems to be the best value.
Tickets for Days 1-3 can be bought for under £100 in the two lower categories.
For Day 4 the prices then drop to £85 and £70 while Day 5 tickets are capped at £40.
England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Richard Thompson has previously claimed he wants cricket to be “the most inclusive sport in the country”.
