A PARALEGAL who abandoned her law career for a job anyone can do is making thousands more a month.
Liz East spent six years studying for a law degree and was working 12-hour days in London before her major job swap.

The 30-year-old from Horsham, West Sussex had big dreams of becoming a criminal defence barrister, but after years of gruelling graft and two-hour commutes, she decided to make a change.
Liz had spent four years in a criminal defence firm and then moved to consultancy, reports Kennedy News.
Then last year, Liz ditched the legal life, invested in a van and began pulling pints in a local pub while she built up her client base for her new dog-walking hustle.
After she noticed a major demand in the area, she took the plunge and began building her new full-time career, launching her walking and boarding company.

A year later, business is booming for Liz, who says she earns thousands more than she did in her city-based jobs, for half the hours.
She walks up to 30 dogs four times a day and offers overnight doggy care services, too.
Describing her past legal career as “draining”, Liz says she hasn’t regretted taking the leap “for one second”.
Recalling her London working days, she said: “It was quite a negative and difficult environment to be in I would say. Sometimes I’d easily be working more than 12 hour days. I felt older than what I was, every day I thought ‘is this my life now?’.

“I think there’s this pressure in the corporate world that unless you are breaking your back that you’re not doing well and people think you’re slacking,” she added.

“It’s not a life, there’s so much stress and people don’t enjoy it. But people stay because the money is good, it keeps you drawn in.”
Sharing her love for her new way of living and working, Liz continued: “My everyday now doesn’t feel like work. I get some people saying ‘you went from law to dog-walking? You did all that studying and now you’re just walking dogs?’.
“Some of them were judgmental and think I just wasted six years, but I learnt a lot in those six years that I still use in everyday life now.
“People presume dog-walkers are low-earning but I actually earn more now. There’s such a high demand for dog-walking that there is money in it.”
