More than 140 postcodes hit by Royal Mail delays AGAIN today – is your town listed?

ROYAL MAIL has revealed over 140 postcodes that will not be receiving their post on time today.

The UK’s primary postal service has warned of delays in areas including Bedford, Exmouth, Maidenhead and Wandsworth.

An update shared on the group’s website read: “In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.

“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.

“We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.”

You can also sign up for email updates to be alerted to any changes.

Royal Mail deliveries take place every day of the week other than Sundays.

First-class mail is delivered the day after dispatch while second-class post should arrive two days after.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We have more than 3,000 postcode districts across the UK. To keep customers informed, we publish details of the local offices currently affected by temporary delivery issues on our service update page.

“The postcodes listed cover the areas served by the delivery office and do not mean that every address within them is affected. Our posties are still out delivering every day, but some individual routes may experience short-term delays.”
