Wexford Gardaí recently arrested a man in connection with stolen vehicles who was subsequently brought before the courts.
On Sunday, September 13, Gardaí in Enniscorthy arrested a man in connection with the unauthorised taking of vehicles.
Following further enquiries into a number of related incidents, he was brought before Wexford District Court and charged with two counts of unauthorised taking of an MPV, two counts of theft from vehicles, and possession of a knife.
He was remanded in custody.
A Garda representative is urging motorists to ensure their cars are safely locked after this incident.
“In all of these incidents, the vehicles were left unlocked. Gardaí are asking the public to lock their vehicles and secure their property. These crimes are opportunistic, so please don’t make it easy for thieves,” they said.
“ Lock it, remove valuables, check it’s secure,” they added.
