Based in Fresno, California, Tafoya Real Estate serves the Central Valley and markets throughout the state, with a strong presence in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, and Visalia. The team produced $87.92 million across 172 transaction sides in 2024 and 2025. Its 2025 results also earned the group recognition as a California Mega Team in the 2026 RealTrends rankings.

“Scott didn’t just build a team, he built an ecosystem of financing, coaching, commercial, multifamily, agent development, all under one roof in the Central Valley,” said Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty. “That’s rare. He’s thinking about the next 500 agents, not the next 50. eXp is built for operators who think that way.”

Tafoya entered real estate in 2005 after studying and working in finance. The former Division I baseball player founded Tafoya Real Estate in 2018 and grew the organization from a small team into an operation of 37 agents.

The group has also expanded far beyond traditional residential sales. Its business now includes luxury homes, agricultural land, commercial real estate, multifamily properties, investments, flips, and wholesale opportunities. Tafoya Real Estate has also built lending, coaching, lead-generation, and agent-development resources around its agents.

“We didn’t move because we needed another brokerage. We moved because the vision got bigger,” Tafoya said. “I’m looking at the next 100, 200, or 500 agents and asking what platform gives them the greatest opportunity to build something of their own. What caught my attention wasn’t the brokerage model, it was the opportunity to connect what we’ve built in Fresno and the Central Valley to a much larger platform.”

Tafoya says he evaluated eXp by looking at the organization he wants to build over the next five to 10 years. His plans include recruiting at a much higher level and giving agents more ways to grow through production, team building, ownership, agent attraction, coaching, and leadership.

The group will also maintain its large North Fresno office, which will serve as a physical hub for eXp agents in the area. The space is designed for training, content creation, lending support, investment opportunities, and face-to-face collaboration.

Thirty-two agents are already fully onboarded, with the remaining agents expected to complete the transition in the coming weeks. It’s the first step in a plan Tafoya says is built for the long run; not just the next 37 agents, but the next 500.
