A local theatre company has helped ensure charities close to their hearts continue to run thanks to some recent fundraising donations.

The Enniscorthy Theatre Company is a vibrant professional and amateur group based in County Wexford, Ireland. The company brings local arts to life by staging engaging dramatic productions. They frequently host events and perform at prominent local venues like The Presentation Arts Centre.

Their repertoire features regional works, including plays by notable Irish writers like Billy Roche and Paul O’Reilly.

Besides hosting performances they have lent their hand to fundraising for charitable causes that are close to their hearts.

A recent run of the play A Love Like That managed to raise funds for the Friends of Local People with MS while a special ‘Top of the Pops from the 1990s’ showcase night at the IFA Centre, raised vital funds for the Slaney Search and Rescue crew – who were instrumental during the Storm Chandra flooding earlier this year.

“We were absolutely over the moon to support these two amazing charities, who do so much for our community through our recent fundraisers,” a spokesperson said.
