Woman arrested after man shot dead in middle of Costa del Sol street as children left fearing for their lives

A MAN has been gunned down in a broad daylight shooting that left kids fearing for their lives as cops arrest a woman.

The victim was shot squarely in the chest on the outskirts of Malaga, Spain, in what police fear is the regions latest gangland attack.

The alleged female shooter tried to flee the murder scene in a car, which shockingly contained child passengers, but was quickly apprehended by the police.

Spanish authorities believe the violence is linked to a score-settling feud between rival drug gangs.

Terror struck the quiet hamlet of Zalea just before 2pm today as emergency services were flooded with calls reporting multiple gunshots and a critically injured victim.

Despite efforts to revive him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police authorities on the Costa del Sol have raised alarms over a surge in gang warfare, following a wave of violent street shootings linked to drug trafficking.

Last week, in another shocking instance of gun violence, a man was shot in the leg in Marbella.

The broad-daylight attack sparked a dramatic police chase along the resort’s famous Golden Mile.

Two suspects were arrested after reportedly abandoning their vehicle and desperately trying to flee on foot.

It came just weeks after a 33-year-old man was shot dead – also in Marbella.

He was blasted twice in the stomach in the early hours of August 24, around a five-minute drive from today’s shooting.

Cops initially treated the incident as a possible hit-and-run before the grim truth emerged that he had been shot.

The National Police said: “The National Police have opened an investigation to clarify the homicide in Marbella of a 33-year-old man, found early on the morning of August 24 with two gunshot wounds to the abdominal area.

“The victim was found dead around 2.20am in a public area, with the corresponding judicial protocol being activated after medical personnel confirmed the person’s death.
