THIS is the horrifying moment a woman is scalped after her hair gets trapped in a moving Ferris wheel in India.
Distressing footage shows blood pouring down the woman’s head as her hair is slowly ripped off in front of hundreds of fairground punters.
The woman’s hair can be seen wound around the fun park ride’s mechanism, tearing away a large section of her scalp.
Bali Maroti Talikote had boarded the fairground ride during an annual children’s festival in Phulsawangi, Maharashtra on September 11.
Her hair suddenly became caught in a rotating bearing behind her seat and tightly wound around it as the ride rotated.
Festivalgoers can be heard shouting, pointing and desperately trying to help her as the horror unfolds.

The wheel continued moving after her hair was pulled with such force that a large section of her scalp was torn away.
Bali can be seen still trapped in the machinery as bystanders gather around the ride as she reached the bottom.
Cops and locals eventually managed to free her after much of her hair had already been pulled from her scalp.
An ambulance was called and Bali was rushed to a private hospital in the nearby town of Pusad with serious head and scalp injuries.

The fair had been organised near the temple as part of an annual celebration attended by women and children from surrounding villages.
No further details about Bali’s condition or any action taken over the operation of the ride were immediately available.

These amusement parks are plagued by structural collapses and mechanical failures due to cheap engineering and broken regulations.
In February, one person was killed and another 13 were injured after a carnival ride suffered a fatal malfunction.

The seating component of the swing continued on its upward trajectory for a few seconds before plummeting to the ground.
