EMMERDALE fans are facing a schedule shake-up this week as live football once again barges into ITV’s prime-time lineup.
With the Carabao Cup third round taking centre stage, viewers will need to adjust their viewing habits to ensure they don’t miss any drama in the Dales.
Live fixtures are taking place on both Tuesday and Wednesday evening, but soap fans get a bit of a lucky break earlier in the week.
On Tuesday, September 15, Emmerdale will air as normal on ITV1.
ITV has chosen to broadcast Tuesday’s cup action on ITV4, keeping the main channel clear for the usual trip to the Woolpack, followed by Coronation Street.
But disruption hits on Wednesday, September 16.

ITV has selected the clash between Manchester United and Brighton for its main channel coverage.
Football will dominate the evening slot on ITV1, meaning both Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been pulled from the schedules for the night.

When live sport disrupts the standard soap broadcasts, ITV occasionally moves episodes to Sunday evening to let viewers catch up.
But fans may be out of luck this time around, as the schedules currently don’t have any soaps listed for Sunday night (September 20).
Unless ITV makes a last-minute tweak, viewers will have to wait for the standard weekday broadcasts.

If you can’t wait for the evening broadcast or want to get ahead of spoilers, ITV has you covered.
New episodes of each soap are available to stream on ITVX and YouTube from 7am on the morning of their scheduled broadcast date.
That means on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week, you’ll be able to get your soap fix hours before it hits TV screens.
Note that because no episode is scheduled for television on Wednesday, there will also be no early 7am release that morning.
