TOWIE stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman were allegedly caught up in a festival brawl which saw security forced to intervene, The Sun can reveal.

The couple, who were recently seen getting engaged on the ITV show, attended R&B Lovers festival in Chelmsford over the weekend.

But the day seemingly wasn’t smooth sailing, as sources tell The Sun they got into bother at the event.

It’s claimed that Joe and Junaid were partying with a female pal when a woman from the crowd approached the group and began pushing their pal – leading to the Towie favourites getting involved.

“The woman approached them and pushed Joe and Junaid’s friend which is when a pushing match kicked off. Joe and Junaid were in shock and started to argue back and forth with the woman, trying to defend their friend.

“Junaid was more involved in the argument, while Joe was listening in the middle of it all,” said the source.

They continued: “It was so close to turning into a full-on fight but security stepped in and eventually removed the woman.

“Junaid kept telling security, ‘Get them away from us’, but the woman kept returning to intimidate them and rile them up. There was about four incidents in total because she kept coming back.

“Their friend was really angry and was trying to fight, but Junaid and Joe just wanted the situation to be over with.”

The source added that the reality stars were “really happy and bubbly” before the incident occurred, which then made them “uncomfortable” throughout the day.

Joe and Junaid are thought to not have been involved in any physical altercations, and were simply caught up in the crossfire of the feud between their pal and the festival-goer.

Neither Junaid nor Joe have shared any pictures or videos from the event.

The Sun has reached out to their representatives for comment.
