ITALY legend Paolo Maldini’s son Daniel was rushed to hospital following a car crash just hours after scoring a Serie A winner.
The Cagliari star, 24, was involved in the collision in the early hours of Sunday morning on the outskirts of Milan.

It came just hours after Maldini scored the winning penalty as Cagliari secured a dramatic victory over his former club Atalanta on Saturday.
Italian news agency ANSA reports the collision happened at around 5.15am in the northern outskirts of Milan.
Six people were reportedly involved in the two-car crash, with all said to have suffered minor injuries.
Three ambulances and a medical car were sent to the scene following the incident.

One person was treated at the scene while five others were taken to hospital for further checks.
Maldini was reportedly transported to Milan’s Fatebenefratelli Hospital for evaluation.
There has been no suggestion that the Italy international suffered serious injuries.
The incident came after Maldini had enjoyed a memorable night on the pitch for Cagliari.

It continued his impressive start to the campaign, with Maldini now scoring twice in his opening four Serie A appearances.
Daniel is the third generation of one of Italian football‘s most famous families to play the game professionally.
His father Paolo is an AC Milan and Italy icon who is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of all time.

And his grandfather Cesare Maldini also starred for Milan and Italy before later moving into management.
Unlike his famous father and grandfather, Daniel operates further up the pitch as an attacking midfielder.
He came through Milan’s academy and made 24 senior appearances for the Italian giants before spells with Spezia, Empoli and Monza.
Maldini later joined Atalanta and spent the second half of last season on loan at Lazio before making another temporary switch to Cagliari.
The six-cap Italy international has since made a bright start in Sardinia, with Cagliari currently sitting fourth in Serie A and due to face Udinese next Saturday.
