BRUNO GUIMARAES rubbed salt into Sunderland wounds by trolling them on Instagram after leading Arsenal to victory against them.
The Brazilian midfielder was instrumental in the Gunners’ 2-0 win at the Stadium of Light on Saturday evening, scoring a stunning opener from range to break the deadlock.
Sunderland fans had made their feelings about the former captain of their arch-rivals, Newcastle, clear by calling him a “fat rat” upon his arrival on Wearside.
However, Guimaraes had the last laugh as he celebrated by making a “small” gesture with his hands.
The 28-year-old then added insult to injury with an Instagram story after the match.
Guimaraes reposted a picture of him making his celebration from former team-mate Joelinton, with the added caption: “Once a Geordie, always a Geordie.”

He then shared a trio of pics showcasing his goal and celebrations with captions aimed directly at the Black Cats, saying: “They know what they are.
“The fat rat wishes you a nice weekend.”
Guimaraes did save some words for his new fans too.
In a post on his page, where he has 4.1 million followers, Guimaraes said: “My first goal for this club, and to celebrate it with a win like this… I couldn’t have asked God for anything more.

Arteta added: “The two actions, the goal is incredible.

Guimaraes is yet to start for the North Londoners in the league following an injury he sustained after the Community Shield.
However, Arteta hinted Guimaraes was pushing for a place in the starting XI, to which he said: “They all are, to be fair. We had a really tough week, as I said, and they all played.
