A Teenage Rock Night has raised an impressive €900 for Wexford MarineWatch, with the charity describing it as an “incredible night”.

The event took place at Meg’s Bar owned by well known Wexford publican Andy Doyle who alongside Frank Meagher was thanked for helping to make the event possible.

Among the bands which took to the stage were Tomorrow’s Army, Daisy, Kinetic Avenue, Great Question and The Lyras.

Tickets were just €8 at the door, which came with a free entry into a Ticketmaster voucher raffle.

The monies raised were recently handed over to chairperson Denis Whelan.

“Thank you to all of the amazing bands and performers who gave their time and talent, and to everyone who came along, supported the event, donated and helped spread the word,” the charity spokesperson added.

“We are so incredibly grateful. This money will help us so much and will make a real difference to the work we do.

“From all of us at Wexford Marine Watch – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
