MANCHESTER UNITED coach Darren Fletcher bit back at a rowdy fan who was “abusive” after their Champions League win over Sabah.
United enjoyed a thumping return to European competition as they thrashed the Azerbaijani minnows 4-0.

But there were some unsavoury scenes after the game as United stars boarded their team bus home.
Fans had waited behind after full time to grab pictures and autographs.
According to the Daily Mail, Fletcher angered one supporter after failing to sign his autograph.
The former Scotland midfielder – who is now head coach of United’s Under-18s – had signed some autographs but wasn’t able to get to all the fans behind the bus.

And after hearing shouts in his direction, Fletcher was having none of it.
He hit back: “Hey, listen. It doesn’t matter, you can’t speak like that.
Fletcher, 42, then pointed at the angry supporter and said: “You are the reason people don’t sign. You are the reason people don’t sign.”
His stern response led to huge cheers from other United fans standing by the bus.

One posted a clip of the exchange on X and pointed out how he “put a fan in his place” who was “abusive towards players when they didn’t stop”.
Another said: “What a man! Fair play Fletcher.”
A third added: “Always loved Darren Fletcher. Good on him.”
And a fourth said: “Love to see it.”
Fletcher is a United legend after appearing 342 times for the Red Devils, scoring 24 goals.
He won five Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson and the Champions League.
Fletcher has been in the United coaching set-up since 2020 and initially worked as technical director before coaching the Under-16s and Under-18s.
He took charge of the team as interim boss for two games last season after Ruben Amorim was axed.
