GRAEME SOUNESS has committed to a series of gruelling challenges in an effort to raise money for a good cause.
Souness, 73, is a Liverpool and Scotland legend, best known to audiences today through his work as a pundit.

But he is winding back the years as he vowed to climb the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland in just three days.
He will also be taking part in three open water swims, all as part of a fundraiser for charity Debra UK, of which he is the president.
He is targeting at least £500,000 to go towards the charity, which supports people living with epidermolysis bullosa, a rare and painful skin condition.
The disease, also known as butterfly skin, causes a person’s skin to be fragile to the slightest touch, leading to common blistering and sores.

Souness went on Good Morning Britain on Friday to discuss his selfless fundraiser, alongside a brave 13-year-old girl living with the condition.
Jasmine Ritchie gave her account of living with the disease, and hailed Souness’ efforts as “just amazing.”
She explained: “You just have to live with pain throughout the day, every day. We just have to get used to it, we have no other choice.
“Every day it’s three or four hours (of bandaging).”

It is a topic that has been close to Souness’ heart for some time, with the former midfielder appearing alongside Jasmine last year as well on the show.
On both occasions the hero became very emotional, choking through his words on Friday’s appearance alongside his inspiring co-star.
He said of the disease: “It’s horrific, if Jasmine was to show you her hands, you would cry, I get very emotional talking about it because I have got things in my head I can’t unsee.
“We talk about bravery. These kids, what they go through is beggars belief. It’s a condition that was sent by the Devil.”
Inspired by a meeting with young EB sufferer Isla Grist, Souness swam the Channel in 2023 to raise money for the charity.
And now he is back for more, targeting the Three Peaks and the highest lakes and lochs around them.
The 1953-born star will be swimming in the mountain lakes without a wet suit, and is more nervous about the temperature than anything else.
He said: “I’ve trained for it, I think I’m ready for it. What I’ve not trained for is how cold the water will be up there.”

He added when discussing the challenge: “We’re a small charity, we get no help from the government.
“You having us on here (GMB) is an enormous help because if you make more people aware of what this condition is then more people will get involved.”
