Police have been unable to identify a woman who was found dead in a black bin bag in Liverpool’s Stanley Park two weeks ago.
Merseyside Police believe the body, which was found in bushes in the walled garden, had been there for several weeks.
Investigating officers have had 73 names supplied to them by concerned members of the public, but forensic tests and appeals for information have failed to lead to identification.
They were first contacted by a member of the public at around 5.25pm on 28 August, with the discovery made between the Anfield and Goodison Park football grounds.
The force said it had not been possible to compare dental records and foresnic tests had found no match on the national DNA database.
They are now appealing to anyone who had flown a drone over the park in recent months to check their footage, and have taken CCTV from 30 private and commercial cameras in the area.
As part of the investigation, officers have also spoken to the occupants of 625 properties in the area surrounding the park.
The deceased woman has been described as white, believed to be around 70 years old, and would have been around 5ft 2in of small build, with strawberry blonde hair.
She was found wearing a pink Nike t-shirt.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector John Fitzgerald: “Our investigation remains ongoing and we remain determined to identity the woman and find the person or persons responsible for her murder.
“We are actively pursuing every call we receive to ensure that people are seen to be safe and well and can be eliminated from our enquiries.
“We are continuing to appeal for anyone who has been in the area of Stanley Park over recent weeks who has seen anything suspicious to contact us and also ask anyone who may have flown a drone over the park over the past couple of months to check their footage for anything significant.”
