CHELSEA flop Christopher Nkunku has lifted the lid on his frustrating spell at Chelsea – admitting he “didn’t like his role”.
The Frenchman joined the Blues for £56million from RB Leipzig.
But he lasted just two injury-hit years at the club, with only 18 goals in 62 appearances.
Nkunku, 28, is now an AC Milan player, though has been loaned back to Leipzig after only one season with the Italian side.
And, speaking ahead of Leipzig’s 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League, the forward reflected on his time in London.
Nkunku said: “When I went to Chelsea, things started well, and then I got injured at the end of the last friendly. And after that, everything changed.

“I had my first operation, I wanted to get back on the pitch quickly, and there were also many changes. I didn’t like my role at Chelsea.”
Nkunku was shipped off to Milan after two underwhelming years at Chelsea.
He joined the Italian side for £31million last summer, but only managed eight goals in 35 appearances.
New Milan boss Ruben Amorim quickly shipped him out.

And Nkunku less than impressed with the ex-Manchester United boss’ decision.
Nkunku added: “Milan’s decision? It’s a choice that should be respected, but I don’t know why they acted that way.
“I was surprised. In any case, I wish them a good season.”
“At Milan I didn’t have any injuries, but the vision of football was different from mine.
“So, as soon as the opportunity arose to come back here and play my football, I seized it.”
