AN ICONIC brewery is rolling out a beloved beer in pubs this September – having first crafted the drink 300 years ago.
It’s set to rival a well-known Irish tipple.
Tennent’s is tracing back 300 years of brewing history with its latest launch, as the lager giant rolls out Tennent’s Stout across pubs in Scotland.
Heading to boozers this September, the 4.0% ABV pint, crafted specifically for draught serving, is set to become a steady favourite – taking on Guinness to battle for the top stout spot.
According to the brewery, the stout promises to deliver “a luxurious, medium-bodied mouthfeel with a velvety foam head”.
It also says the drink has a “rich, roasted malt base” layered with “subtle notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, treacle and coffee”.

Pub-goers searching for a refreshing sip of the new creamy stout can find it on draught at Glasgow’s Oran Mor pub and Tennent’s Visitor Centre.
Other pubs are set to start stocking the new booze later this month.
It’s served up in a branded glass spelling out STOUT around its rim, with customers urged to “split the T” of the iconic red Tennent logo.
Stout was once at the centre of the historic Glasgow brewery, when back in 1740, Tennent’s was known for crafting stout.
