The result is a powerful, honest piece of theatre that explores connection, difference, understanding, and hope. Led by the Hawk’s Well Theatre, in partnership with the Millennium Forum Theatre, and the John and Pat Hume Foundation, Project Lighthouse creates space for dialogue, reflection, and shared experience across communities.
Project Lighthouse is a free educational event for students aged 16+, offering a unique opportunity to engage with themes of peace, identity, community, and belonging. Schools can take part either in person at the Hawk’s Well Theatre or through an interactive live broadcast, allowing students to connect and participate wherever they are.
Designed as an interactive three-part journey, Project Lighthouse places young people’s voices at its centre. The programme begins with a 45-minute interactive pre-show, followed by the live performance and concludes with a facilitated post-show discussion and reflection, giving students the opportunity to explore the themes raised and share their responses.
