BEER-flavoured crisps that have been described as “weirdly accurate” have returned to supermarket shelves.
They are a part of a range of unusual snacks and cost just over £1 a bag.
Ahead of Oktoberfest on September 19, Aldi has brought back its German Pilsner Beer flavour Specially Selected Handcooked Crinkle Crisps.
The crisps are available from today, September 10 – but anyone looking to try them better be quick.
The snacks are part of Aldi’s Specialbuys and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
The budget retailer is selling the 150g bags for £1.15.

One person posted on Facebook: “Lovely crisps! Actually taste like beer!”
Another person wrote on Instagram: “So it’s probably coming up to about 20 years since I last had beer, but these are weirdly accurate (from what I remember).”
Aldi has said the crisps are “carefully hand cooked for crunch worth savouring” and boast a unique lager-inspired flavour.
One fan couldn’t get enough of the snacks and posted on social media: “These are magic, right down to a kind of beer-fizz tingle they manage to capture.”

However, a fourth shopper said on Instagram that the crisps had a “very odd flavour”.
The Aldi Oktoberfest range also features Currywurst Sausage crisps along with nutty Peanut Puffs and Paprika Potato Sticks.
