DISCOUNT retailer B&M has confirmed it will close a 20,000 sq ft store in major UK city centre in another blow to the high street.

Shoppers have limited time left to visit the branch before it shuts for good.

A B&M store found on County Road in Walton is set to shutter this autumn.

The retail giant confirmed the closure this week, announcing that the store will cease trading on November 6.

Staff working at the branch will be given the opportunity to transfer to other nearby B&M locations.

Shoppers are now being directed to stores on Great Homer Street and Utting Avenue to purchase their bargain goods.

The chain currently operates 15 branches across Liverpool, offering shoppers a variety of discounted homeware, garden, clothing, beauty and electrical products.

A B&M spokesperson told The Sun: “We remain committed to bringing the best possible B&M stores and shopping experience to our customers across Liverpool.

“Customers will continue to find the great B&M value at our nearby stores, including Great Homer Street and Utting Avenue, both just one mile away, which are home to a Garden Centre and offer an even bigger range of products under one roof.

“All colleagues affected by the closure on November 6, 2026, will be offered employment at other local B&M stores in the surrounding area.
