We published our recommended differential options yesterday for those who like to think outside the box but for gaffers who prefer to play it straight, check out our transfer tips below.

Martin Odegaard (£4.7m)
Arsenal’s captain has rediscovered his best form at the start of this season.
He has raced to 35 points after three Gameweeks and currently ranks joint-fourth among midfielders.
Odegaard scored the winner against Chelsea on Sunday then repeated the feat away to Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Gunners squandered several golden chances in Naples before their No8 fired home from the edge of the box for this third goal of the campaign.

Odegaard can also count himself unlucky that he is yet to register an assist in 2026/27 as he has created three big chances for his team-mates — only Phil Foden (£4.8m) has registered more at the time of writing.
Mikel Arteta’s side are due to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this weekend before a trip to Ipswich in the Carabao Cuo three days later.
Alexander Isak (£6.3m)

The premium strikers justified their expensive price tags in Gameweek 3 as only Erling Haaland (£8.6m) added more points to his total than Liverpool’s No9 among players in their position.
Isak bagged a brace at Portman Road last Friday and was credited with a fortunate assist for Alexis Mac Allister’s (£3.4m) winner against Atletico Madrid for combined haul of 21 points.

The Sweden international is still not back to his athletic best after the leg break he suffered last season but three goals in four games represents a very promising start to 2026/27.
Andoni Iraola’s men have the luxury of two home games in Gameweek 4: Fulham (19th in the table without a point) and Tottenham (18th in the table).
Although it’s worth noting the clash with Spurs is a Carabao Cup third round match-up and therefore susceptible to rotation.
At the risk of stating the obvious, Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.2m) is an excellent selection too.
Like Odegaard, the Hungarian midfielder has racked up 35 points in quick time.

Marcus Tavernier (£3.3m)
With an ownership of 1.9% the Bournemouth winger could have been included in our differential suggestions.
We’ve decided to highlight him here as recruiting him for Gameweek 4 would be a transfer that adheres to tried-and-tested Dream Team logic.
Tavernier notched 13 points via a goal and four shots on target against Newcastle last weekend.
He was only given 12 minutes at the end against Lincoln in the Carabao Cup in midweek, not enough time to muster more than a point, but he has been the Cherries’ primary attacking threat across the first three Gameweeks.
Bournemouth are one of just three teams with a European double header in Gameweek 4: Brentford (h) & Real Sociedad (a).
Rotation is less likely in the Europa League than it is in the Carabao Cup — Tavernier is a guaranteed starter in Spain barring availability issues.
At £3.3m the 27-year-old is a useful option at this early stage of the season.
Morgan Rogers or Cole Palmer (£5.5m)

Chelsea are among the five top flight teams with just one fixture to fulfil in Gameweek 4 but their top assets are impossible to ignore.
After a blazing second half against Leeds on Wednesday night, Palmer (55 pts) and Rogers (41 pts) are the top two ranked midfielders in Dream Team.
The former has four goals and an assist to his name while the latter has registered two goals and five assists for his new club in the blink of an eye.
This Saturday, the Blues welcome Hull to Stamford Bridge, a stern test of the Tigers’ defence.

Sergej Jakirovic’s side have marked their return to the Premier League with three consecutive clean sheets but Xabi Alonso’s men head into this fixture having scored 16 goals in their first five outings (all comps).
Some Dream Team bosses may tempted to replace Joao Pedro (£5.4m) with either Palmer or Rogers to swerve the Brazilian striker’s inevitable price drop after his two-pointer in Gameweek 3, while still targeting Chelsea’s home game against Hull.
