COLE PALMER and bestie Morgan Rogers got into a hilarious post-match argument over the Player of the Match award after downing Leeds.
The duo were at their electric best on Wednesday night as Chelsea beat Leeds 6-3 to book passage into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Palmer bagged a brace in the comeback victory, while his good pal Rogers, who became the most expensive English player ever with his £117million summer move to Aston Villa, got FOUR ASSISTS.
Rogers fully expected to take home another POTM award after the final whistle, so much so that he was left stunned when Palmer won the accolade.
Before their joint post-match interview with Sky Sports, in which someone in the tunnel joked that the award was ‘rigged’, a baffled Rogers said: “Mate, I got four assists.
“Nah, nah, nah. I can’t believe that. That is mental…he scored a pen!”

Palmer was quick to defend his winning of the trophy, saying: “I started the comeback.
“I’ll shout you out and say you should’ve had it, don’t worry about that.”
Rogers fired back: “Don’t mention me; I’m just a bystander. That is criminal.”
Footage of the pair’s light-hearted argument spread like wildfire on social media.

One viewer wrote: “My boys are jealous of each other greatness.”
Another said: “This is exactly how you argue when your teammate is also your boy.
“Happy for him, but absolutely NOT letting him enjoy that trophy in peace. 💀”
And another said: “Rogers is bang on, four assists off the bench after they were two down is why that game flipped.”
One remarked: “I guess he went to Chelsea because of Palmer 🤣.”
Chelsea were 2-0 down and looked in danger of going out before super-sub Palmer hauled them back on level terms with goals in the 53rd and 55th minute.

Rogers also came off the bench to help save Chelsea’s bacon, with manager Xabi Alonso admitting his team selection almost cost them dearly.
The Spaniard said of his decision to leave out his star players: “I take responsibility.
No player to blame, it’s a decision that we took. First half things were not going the way we wanted.
“When you do not have time to work with [the squad players], it’s difficult to compete at this level. It’s my responsibility.
