Cork County Council’s Arts Office has opened submissions for artists and makers across the county to showcase their works at the Council’s Winter Exhibition 2026.
The annual event will run at the Library Headquarters (LHQ), which is located next to Cork County Hall on Carrigrohane Road across November and December and strives to provide a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their work.
The exhibition welcomes existing works produced within the last five years, including two-dimensional works such as painting, photography, printmaking, drawing and mixed media; three-dimensional works including ceramics, sculpture, textiles and artist books; as well as multimedia works.
Artists working across all disciplines are encouraged to apply and submitted works must be small to medium in scale, with a maximum size of A2.
Mayor of the County of Cork, Councillor Bernard Moynihan, said:
“Cork County Council is committed to supporting artists at every stage of their creative journey.
“Opportunities such as the LHQ Gallery Winter Exhibition are vital in providing artists with a professional platform to present their work, connect with audiences and contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of County Cork,” he said.
The exhibition is open to artists either from County Cork or those who reside in the county.
Cork County Council’s Arts Office takes no commission on sales, and all sales enquiries received during the exhibition will be directed to artists directly.
