A Wexford secondary school has welcomed back three members from the Class of 2026, who achieved “excellent results” in their Leaving Cert exams to speak with the current crop of sixth years.
A spokesperson for Wexford CBS thanked Seán Parle, Eoghan Lynch and Tiernan Crotty who recently returned to the school to speak their students about goal setting and striving to achieve their very best,
“We are incredibly proud of them and all that they have achieved, and equally proud of all our past pupils from the Class of 2026,” said the spokesperson.
“We wish the lads every success and happiness as they take the next step and begin the next chapter of their lives. We look forward to keeping in touch, welcoming them back to Wexford CBS and seeing what they get up to in the years ahead.”
It understood that pandemic related adjustments are expected to be applied to this year’s Leaving Cert results for the final time, meaning the class of 2028 will be the first Leaving Cert cohort in nine years whose marks will be based solely on their own performance without any intervention.
