Enniscorthy Library has a multitude of resources at the tips of its fingers. Inside, members can borrow books, video games, and even listen to vinyl music in a comfortable chair with earphones.
There are also a number of computers and printers available, along with a study room where students can put their heads down for exams and people can complete projects and essays.

‘The Wake’
Buddy Enniscorthy are staging The Wake, a comedy, full of stories, laughs, scandals and shenanigans, in aid of the Hope Cancer Support Centre, Enniscorthy on September 10, 11 and 12 in the IFA Centre Enniscorthy at 8pm nightly.

The Uí Cinsealaigh Historical Society is doing a call out for papers for their journal.
The theme is ‘The Normans in Wexford 1169-2026’ to celebrate the year of the Normans 2027. Papers should be 3,000 to 5,000 word count and may cover any Norman topic related to Co. Wexford.
Papers must be formatted in Word Document and the deadline for submissions is September 1. All papers to be sent by email to [email protected].
Enniscorthy Municipal District is continuing to enhance and improve the image of Enniscorthy once again by launching its Shopfront, Painting, and Awning Grant Scheme for 2026.
The scheme will assist business owners and operators to carry out works which will improve the exterior appearance of their business premises.

A new facility has opened in the Enniscorthy area called Enniscorthy Dog Training. The opening of the new building is in Clonhaston, Enniscorthy. The secure, exclusive use space is set in a peaceful countryside location, less than five minutes from Enniscorthy.
Space is ideal for training practice, nervous dogs who benefit from a big space, and dogs who need secure place for off-lead adventures.
Private hire is €10 per slot (three dogs) for 50 minutes.
Come and visit the Weavers’ Cottages Museum which were once the home of local weavers dating back to the 17th century and now houses many artefacts of the cottage weaving industry.

If bottle, can or clothes bins in either Marshalstown of Castledockrell villages are full when you bring items to them please take them home with you again and call back another time. Recently a large amount of glass was place in front of the bottle bank. This is classed as littering and there are fines for doing this. If we all do a little bit it will enhance the area for everyone.
Enniscorthy Basketball Club are looking for coaches for the new season.
All necessary training and courses will be supported by the club, coaches will help develop skills and make a difference while being part of a passionate and supportive community.

Blackstairs Blues Festival
Officially the longest running Blues Festival in Ireland, the Blackstairs Blues Festival is helping keep Enniscorthy’s title as the ‘Town of Festivals.’
Blackstairs Blues festival in Enniscorthy has been providing stellar musical performances for 32 years, with the upcoming 33rd edition to be no exception.
Musicians are set to travel from the United States, Australia, England, Canada, and Austria this year.
The festival will run across a number of venues from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13.
The Presentation Arts Centre is proud to present Rectify Her/Regulate Her, a new solo exhibition by visual artist Cody McEvoy.
Cody McEvoy is the current artist in residence at The Presentation Arts Centre, and she works from a collection of archived footage, film, and photographs depicting her lived experiences.
The Wexford based painter has a specific gaze on motorcycles as a topic, referring to and fed by her family and upbringing. Coming from a family of bikers, her work explores themes of gender, growth, and trauma.
Cody began using oil paint during her time in the BA(Hons) Art course at South East Technological University, and continues to operate within this medium.
Her paintings utilise bold blocks of colour, paired with precise and faithful renditions of motorcycles that have passed through her family. Each painting embodies this obsession with motorcycles, and she has come to see them as quasi-human objects, and her studio focus questions the male-presumption so commonly associated with motorcycle riders.
Tennis Club
The Enniscorthy Tennis Club will be opening its new facility on September 3, with Minister James Browne in attendance at 7 p.m.
Skydive
Well-known fruit farmer and businessman Cyril Wheelock will be skydiving for charity on Wednesday, September 2 in Offaly. There is an idonate fundraiser which is taking donations.
Oscars Night
In order to raise money for the facilities for both GAA clubs, which includes upgrading lighting and dressing rooms as well as essential maintenance, the Crossabeg/Ballymurn GAA Club are hosting a ‘Night at the Oscars’ in Whites of Wexford hotel on November 21.
The participants were cast into eight films spanning, Derry Girls, Forrest Gump, Braveheart, The Snapper, and many more, with a film company turning their scenes into a short film which will be screened on the ‘Oscars’ night.
The group held an official casting night where member of the community got to find out what role they had cinched, with each film having a wide range of ages with the youngest being 18 and the oldest in their late 70s.
Tickets will go on sale in October.
Book Launch
A book on the show society in Enniscorthy will be officially launched at the IFA Centre, Enniscorthy at 7.30 p.m. on Friday, September 18.
Minister James Browne will be a speaker at the event.
Congrats to the organisers and volunteers of the 2026 edition of the popular Hope and Dream 10 run in aid of the Hope Cancer Support Centre.
Thanks to all their hard work, and the dedicated participation of 1,600 people, they managed to raise over €160,000 for vital and essential cancer support services.
