A 19-year-old man accused of damaging several parked cars around Dundalk has been remanded on continuing bail when he appeared before the district court on Tuesday.
Micheál McAllister, Park Green, Coulter Place, Dundalk, is charged with, on August 17, 2025, at McEntee Avenue, damaging the front driver’s side windscreen of a mechanically propelled vehicle; the front driver’s side window of a second vehicle and the passenger door of a third car; and at River Lane, having a silver knife, approximately 12 inches in length, which had a blade or was sharply pointed, and using or engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour or words.
He is further accused of, the next day at Rampart Lane, damaging the front passenger window of a Volkswagen Polo; the front passenger window of another vehicle, the front passenger window of a Volkswagen Tiguan and the front passenger window of a Kia Sportage.
The defendant is also charged with stealing a €210 tracksuit at JD Sports, Marshes Shopping Centre on December 18, 2025; and with damaging the rear passenger window of a BMW 620 at The Long Walk carpark on January 26 last.
Also on January 26, at Church Street, he is accused of resisting a garda in the execution of her duty, public intoxication and using or engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour or words.
The case was put back to October 6.
