AN OFFROAD motorcyclist, 28, has died in a devastating crash, with his heartbroken fiancée saying “life feels impossible” without him.

Jamie Wainwright, from Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire, died on August 26 following a motorcycle accident.

The gifted rider and motorcross enthusiast competed for a number of well-known teams during his career.

The offroad sport involves competing on rough terrain with steep jumps and sharp corners.

The full details surrounding Jamie’s death have not yet been released.

Devastated fiancée Hannah Murray, who was with Jamie for 13 years, paid a heartfelt tribute to her “best friend”.

The talented motorcyclist was also paid tribute to as a beloved son, brother and uncle.

A spokesperson for Stinsons Independent Family Funeral Directors said: “Sadly, we announce the passing of James Wainwright, known to all as Jamie, who passed away on Wednesday 26th August 2026, aged 28 years.

“A much-loved son to Chris and Karen, a cherished brother to Ben and Matt, a devoted fiancé to Hannah, and a much-loved uncle to Summer.

His funeral is set to take place at Holy Trinity Church in his hometown on September 16.
