LUIS MUNOZ became the second-youngest goalscorer in Uefa Youth League history as his late heroics earned Arsenal three points against Napoli.
And the 14-year-old was just THREE DAYS too late to snatch the record from his Gunners team-mate, Max Dowman.
Munoz, who was introduced as a 77th minute substitute, scored in the fourth minute of injury time to make the score 2-1 and win the league phase opener for Arsenal.
The highly-rated teenager became the competition’s youngest ever player last season, when he came off the bench against Bayern Munich aged just 13 years and 11 months.
Now at 14 years, eight months and 28 days old, Munoz has become the competition’s second-youngest goalscorer.
He agonisingly misses out on taking top spot off Dowman by a matter of days.

Dowman, now 18, was just 14 years, eight months and 19 days old when he scored in a 4-1 defeat to Atalanta back in 2024.
Munoz was handed just his second appearance for the U19 side today when he was trusted off the bench to help David Horseman’s side to a perfect start in Europe.
The Young Guns took the lead in the first half through Andre Harriman-Annous, but were pegged back level when Napoli captain Milton Pereyra struck a 57th-minute equaliser.
Munoz then proved to be the difference off the bench as he was set up by debutant Igor Tyjon in the 94th minute to win the game for Arsenal.

KAI HAVERTZ inspired an Arsenal fight-back as they beat London rivals Chelsea to continue their perfect start.
The Gunners were chasing the game after their former transfer target, Morgan Rogers, volleyed the visitors ahead after just 77 seconds.
But Arsenal kept their cool and equalised when Havertz fired inside the near post midway through the first half.
Havertz then set up Arsenal’s second – even though he won’t get credited with the assist – as his excellent dummy created the space for Martin Odegaard to turn in from close range.
Chelsea gave Havertz his break in Premier League football when they shelled out big money to sign him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020.
But he has enjoyed tormenting them – scoring four goals in seven head-to-heads – since he moved across the capital three years later.

Tyjon, 18, signed for Arsenal from Blackburn Rovers last month after the North London club spent over a year trying to secure his services for their Hale End academy.
The result is a huge one for Arsenal’s youth setup, having lost five of their six games in the Uefa Youth League last season.
For Munoz, it is yet another milestone in his young career as his profile continues to grow in the academy.
He is already Arsenal’s second youngest goalscorer for the U18s, behind only Ethan Nwaneri.
And his status within the club is growing so much that he has even been invited to train with Mikel Arteta’s first-team on multiple occasions in recent months.
Munoz, who has dual nationality for England and Panama, has already represented the Three Lions nine times at the U15 level and even captained the U16s in his first cap this summer.
The teenager, who can play both as a midfielder and a forward, is a superb runner with the ball and has an impressive shot on his right foot.
