What’s the deal? A 35% saving on Emma’s premium hybrid, which you may know better as the Hybrid AirGrid – Emma renamed it the Original Elite earlier this year, but it’s the same mattress.
Why we love it: The AirGrid layer sits above the foam and springs as a springy, breathable buffer, so you get pressure relief without the sunk-in feeling that puts so many off memory foam.
It sleeps cooler than a standard foam mattress, and the edge support is better as well.
If you move around a lot in the night, this is the one I’d look at first.

What’s the deal? £190 off, and worth moving on if you want it, because Emma has replaced the all-foam Original in its own range with a hybrid version.
Why we love it: Dense, slow-sinking foam that cradles hips and shoulders while keeping the spine where it’s supposed to be.
Motion transfer is minimal, so a partner getting up at 6am doesn’t wake you up as well, but it runs warmer than the hybrids, so I’d consider that if you sleep hot.

Silentnight Hush Memory Foam Mattress (Kingsize): £231.00 (was £289.00) at Argos
What’s the deal? 20% off, and the strongest value on this page by some distance.
Why we love it: Straightforward memory foam rather than anything clever, this is the one I’d suggest for a spare room that gets a lot of use, or a first flat where the bed budget has already been eaten by the deposit.
Shoppers rate it 4.4 out of 5 at Argos, but the reviews that mention it being firmer than expected are worth reading.

Jay-Be Ryze 800 Pocket Sprung Mattress (Single): £216.00 (was £270.00) at Argos
What’s the deal? 20% off, though note this is the single.
Why we love it: 800 individually wrapped springs in a single is pretty generous, and Jay-Be has spent decades making guest beds, so it knows what it’s doing.
The springs move independently, which keeps the surface responsive rather than flat, so this is a good buy for a box room, a child moving out of a toddler bed, or a spare room.

Arthur Sleep Cool Pocket Mattress (Super King): £283.99 (was £335.99) at Wayfair
What’s the deal? £52 off a super king, which is the cheapest cooling mattress at this size we’ve come across this month.
Why we love it: A gel foam comfort layer over pocket springs, which is a combination that actually moves heat rather than holding it – gel draws warmth out of the surface, springs let air move underneath.
Arthur Sleep is a newer name than the rest of this page, and there’s no review history on the listing, however.
If you sleep hot and you’re buying for a spare room, it’s worth a look at this price.

Sealy Advantage Deluxe Sense Firm Mattress (Single): £510.00 (was £649.00) at Argos
What’s the deal? £139 off a Sealy.
Why we love it: A really firm mattress rather than the medium-firm that most bed-in-a-box brands lead with, it’s aimed at back and front sleepers who find they sink through the middle of a softer bed.
Sealy’s own spring system does the support work instead of a foam layer, but it’s still expensive for a single, so I’d only go here if the firmness is the priority.
Best budget mattress deals

Jax Mattress (Single): £98.99 (was £149.99) at Bensons for Beds
What’s the deal? 34% off, and the code MATTS10 takes another 10% off at checkout, which brings the single mattress down to £89.09.
Why we love it: An open-coil mattress with a steel frame around the edge, which is old-fashioned construction but could be perfect for the spare room.
The filling uses recycled polyester, and the whole thing is made in Britain.
Where can you find the best mattress deals this Black Friday?
Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday following on 30 November.
One great thing is that the brands are all discounting against each other at once, which pushes prices down further than any of them might go alone.
Simba, Emma and Nectar typically save their best pricing of the year for November.
Retailers including John Lewis, Argos and Dunelm run their own mattress offers alongside, and they don’t always match the brand-direct price, so it’s worth checking both.
Specialist bed retailers are worth a look too.

What mattress deals were in the Black Friday sale last year?
Last November will give you a fair sense of what to expect, and the pricing we tracked was strong across the board.
Emma dropped what was then the Hybrid AirGrid, now the Original Elite, to its lowest price at the time, starting at £468.30 against an RRP of £669, with the biggest cuts on king and super king sizes.
Simba ran 30% off the Hybrid Luxe and up to £600 off across mattresses, toppers and duvets.
Eve’s Premium foam mattress halved, from £849 to £424.50 on the double.
Silentnight’s Just Dream Premium Hybrid started at £480 against £800, and Dusk took its 4,000 pocket sprung hybrid to £311.20 from £389 with a checkout code.
There were bundles as well as straight discounts, with pillows, protectors and duvets thrown in, plus extended trials and free delivery on most of the big names.
