SOUTH Park’s creators have revealed a sarcastic new name for the hit show after Donald Trump’s latest geographic rebrand.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced the long-running cartoon would become “South America” just days before its 29th season hits screens.

The tongue-in-cheek move comes after President Trump signed an executive order renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America amid a trade spat with Canada.
“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA,” Parker and Stone said.
“We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount – a Skydance Capitulation.”
The announcement was accompanied by an altered version of the show’s famous logo, with “America” slapped across the word “Park.”

It appeared to poke fun at Apple and Google after the tech giants updated their map services following Trump’s Lake America order.
Users in the US now reportedly see Lake America on the apps, while those in Canada continue to see Lake Ontario.
Canadian officials have said they will not recognize Trump’s new name for the vast body of water separating parts of the US and Canada.
It is not the first time the president has put his stamp on the map.

Trump last year used an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
And just a day before the South Park announcement, Trump shared AI-generated posts on Truth Social suggesting New Mexico should instead be called “New America.”
Parker and Stone also took a dig at their own parent company with their “Skydance Capitulation” quip.
Paramount and Skydance completed their $8billion merger last year after it was approved by the Federal Communications Commission.
The deal came after Paramount agreed to pay $16million to settle a lawsuit brought by Trump over a 2024 CBS 60 Minutes interview with then-Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Trump had alleged the interview was deceptively edited to benefit Harris.
The settlement did not include an apology.
South Park has repeatedly taken aim at the Trump administration as part of its notoriously provocative political satire.
The show even picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program for last year’s “Sermon on the Mount” episode, which parodied Trump’s presidency.
Its writers have long courted controversy by taking aim at figures from across politics and popular culture.
