The punter stuck a humble pound on 25 matches spanning the Champions League, the Championship and Scottish football, with the mammoth bet eventually paying out £5,948.96.

The acca was placed on Tuesday night using Sky Bet’s ‘To Win Either Half’ market, with every single selection needing to win either the first or second half of their respective match.

And somehow, all 25 selections came in!

The acca included some of Europe’s heavyweights, with Real Madrid and Manchester City among the selections, while lower-league teams including Banks O’Dee, Cumbernauld Colts and Annan also played their part.

The customer backed everything from Dortmund and Lille to Sunderland, Wrexham and East Fife, with odds ranging from 1.17 to 1.73.

With 25 legs on the line, one slip-up would have ended the bet, but every selection delivered to secure the near-£6,000 payout.
